What to Expect in our office
Whether you're dealing with a new injury, chronic pain, stiffness, or simply want to keep your body moving well, we're here to help you understand your options.
Your Care Journey, Step by Step
-
We’ll send you a link to our online portal to complete your new patient forms 12–24 hours before your appointment. This gives our doctor time to review your information and prepare for your visit.
-
When you arrive at DeepWave, we'll welcome you in, show you around, and help you feel right at home.
Then you'll sit down with the doctor to review your health history, paperwork, current concerns, and health goals.
From there, you will receive a thorough examination based on your individual needs. The doctor may order additional imaging if necessary and also provide a pain relieving treatment through Stemwave, Back on Trac decompression, or traditional therapies.
-
Your second visit is where we bring everything together. The doctor will review your examination results, explain what we're seeing, and discuss how it may be affecting your health.
Together, we'll talk through your goals and create a personalized plan that may include chiropractic care, Back on Trac decompression, Pilates-based rehabilitation, or a combination of therapies.
If chiropractic care is appropriate, you'll receive your first adjustment at this visit.
-
StemWave patients follow a slightly different process. After your mapping session, your care recommendations will be reviewed with you, followed by financial information and personalized after-care instructions.
FREQUENTLY ASKED Questions
getting started-
Your first visit is designed to help us understand your health concerns and goals.
We'll begin with a conversation about your health history, concerns, goals, and what you've already tried. Depending on the type of appointment you've scheduled, we'll perform an appropriate examination or assessment and discuss what we're finding.
We'll then recommend the next best step for you. That may include chiropractic care, StemWave, Back on Trac decompression, rehabilitation, or a combination of services.
Our goal is for you to leave with a clear understanding of what's going on and what we recommend moving forward.
-
Absolutely. You don't need to figure that out before you walk through our doors.
Our job is to listen, evaluate your needs, and help you understand your options. Your care may include one service or a combination of chiropractic care, StemWave, Back on Trac decompression, and movement-based rehabilitation.
We'll recommend what we believe will be most helpful based on your goals and how your body is functioning.
-
No. After your evaluation, we'll explain what we're finding and make recommendations based on your individual needs and goals.
You are always in control of your healthcare decisions. Our job is to give you the information and guidance you need to make an informed choice.
-
Chiropractic benefits vary depending on your individual insurance plan. We currently participate with Blue Cross plans and Medicare. We also have private pay options which allow you to have transparent fees for care without the guesswork of insurance.
We are happy to help you understand your benefits and what your expected out-of-pocket costs may be.
StemWave and certain rehabilitation services may be offered as private-pay services because they are not typically covered by health insurance. We'll always explain your options and pricing before beginning care.
Movement & Rehabilitation-
Pilates Reformer rehabilitation uses controlled movement, resistance, breathing, and core stability exercises to help you improve strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and body awareness.
At DeepWave, we use Pilates principles as part of a broader rehabilitation approach designed around your current abilities and goals.
-
Not at all.
Our rehabilitation sessions are designed for your current level of ability. You don't need to be flexible, athletic, or experienced with Pilates.
We'll meet you where you are and gradually help you build strength, control, and confidence in your movement.
-
Movement-based rehabilitation can be helpful for people recovering from injuries, rebuilding strength after a period of pain or inactivity, improving mobility and stability, or simply wanting to move better.
Depending on your needs, rehabilitation may be incorporated alongside chiropractic care, decompression, or StemWave.
-
Chiropractic care can help restore joint motion and function. Rehabilitation helps you build the strength, control, and movement patterns needed to maintain those improvements.
That's why we often think of care as a progression:
Restore Motion → Build Strength → Improve Function → Stay Active
Your plan may include one or several of these components depending on what your body needs.
Chiropractic Care-
A healthy spine is an important part of a healthy, active life.
Our chiropractic care focuses on restoring motion, improving function, and supporting the relationship between your spine and nervous system.
Through gentle, targeted hands-on and instrument-assisted adjustments, along with movement and strength-based rehabilitation when appropriate, we support your body's natural ability to heal and adapt—helping you move with greater ease, confidence, and resilience.

Chiropractic care is generally considered safe when performed by a trained, licensed chiropractor. We tailor your care to your health history, condition, comfort level, and goals.
We use a variety of techniques, including hands-on and instrument-assisted adjustments, and will always explain what we're doing before treatment.
If chiropractic care isn't appropriate for your situation, we'll let you know and help you determine the most appropriate next step.
-
That depends on the technique used and the individual.
Some adjustments involve a quick, gentle movement of a joint, while instrument-assisted techniques use a specialized tool to deliver a controlled impulse. Many patients describe the experience as relieving or freeing, while others may notice mild soreness afterward.
We'll always work within your comfort level and choose techniques that are appropriate for you
-
No.
There are many ways to provide chiropractic care, and not every patient needs the same approach. We use both hands-on and instrument-assisted techniques and select the approach based on your needs, preferences, and clinical findings
-
There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer.
The frequency of care depends on what you're experiencing, how long you've had the problem, your goals, and how your body responds to treatment.
Our goal is to help you restore function and build the strength and movement capacity to stay active — not keep you dependent on care.
Back & Spine Care-
Back on Trac is a non-invasive form of spinal decompression designed to gently unload and mobilize the spine.
It can be incorporated into a care plan for people experiencing certain types of back or spinal discomfort, stiffness, or limited mobility.
Your provider will determine whether decompression is appropriate for you based on your history and examination.
-
Back on Trac is designed to be comfortable and gentle.
You remain fully clothed while the system applies controlled decompression to the spine. Most patients describe the experience as relaxing, with a gentle stretching or pulling sensation.
Your comfort is important to us, and we'll adjust the treatment to your individual needs.
-
Yes. Decompression can be used as part of a chiropractic care plan or as an individual therapy when appropriate.
During your evaluation, we'll determine whether Back on Trac makes sense for your condition and goals.
-
That depends on your condition, goals, and response to care.
Some people benefit from a short course of treatment, while others may benefit from combining decompression with chiropractic care and rehabilitation.
We'll make recommendations based on your individual needs rather than automatically prescribing the same number of sessions to everyone.
StemWave Shockwave Therapy-
StemWave is a non-invasive form of shockwave therapy that has been used in healthcare for many years. Treatment does not involve injections or surgery, and most patients can return to their normal activities following a session.
During treatment, you may feel some tenderness or sensitivity in the area being treated. Your comfort is always a priority, and treatment is adjusted to your individual needs.
-
Some patients notice a change in their symptoms after their first treatment, while others experience improvement gradually throughout their care plan.
StemWave is designed to support the body's natural healing and recovery processes, so changes can continue to develop after your treatment sessions are complete.
Your response will depend on the condition being treated, how long you've been experiencing it, your overall health, and other factors that influence recovery.
-
Our goal isn't simply to provide temporary relief. StemWave is designed to support the body's natural healing response and help improve the health and function of the treated area.
How long results last varies from person to person and depends on the condition being treated, activity level, lifestyle, and how well the area is supported as you return to normal activity.
Maintaining strength, mobility, and healthy movement can be an important part of protecting your progress.
-
It's common to have more than one area that needs attention.
During your evaluation, we'll identify the areas that may benefit from treatment and discuss your options with you.
Our $49 Diagnostic Mapping Session includes evaluation and treatment of one area. Additional areas can be mapped and treated during the same visit when appropriate.
If you have multiple areas that need care, we'll explain the most practical and cost-effective approach before you begin.
-
Your first visit begins with a conversation about your health history, symptoms, goals, and what you've already tried.
The doctor will then perform a focused examination and use StemWave's diagnostic mapping process to evaluate the area of concern and determine whether you are a good candidate for treatment.
You'll receive your first StemWave treatment during this visit, followed by personalized recommendations for your care.
The goal is for you to leave with a better understanding of what may be contributing to your problem, what we can do about it, and what your next steps are.
-
StemWave care is typically provided over a 6–8 week period, although your schedule may vary depending on your condition, goals, and response to treatment.
A common schedule is:
Weeks 1–2: Two treatments per week
Weeks 3–8: One treatment per weekYour care plan may also include chiropractic care, movement-based rehabilitation, Pilates, or other supportive therapies when appropriate.
Our goal is not simply to treat an area of pain. We want to help you restore function, build strength, and return to the activities that matter to you.
-
StemWave is currently considered a self-pay service and is generally not covered by health insurance.
Because it is a private-pay service, you don't have to wait for insurance authorization or deal with treatment limitations imposed by your insurance plan. Before beginning care, we'll clearly explain the cost of your recommended treatment plan so you know what to expect.
No surprises. Just straightforward recommendations and transparent pricing.
-
Absolutely. Your body doesn't always fit neatly into one treatment category, and your care shouldn't have to either. Depending on your needs, your plan may include chiropractic care, StemWave, Back on Trac decompression, Pilates-based rehabilitation, or a combination of services.
We don't believe in treating a diagnosis. We believe in caring for the person who wants to get back to living.
